Placements and Provision

We have 36 student places, and these placements are made across four key stages and two sites. This allows us to tailor our provision and ensure the facilities offered are most suitable to each student’s age and stage.

KS4 (Y11)

Our KS4 cohort will stay for us for their remaining time in Y10/Y11. We will support students to study a key curriculum diet of English, Maths and Science GCSE, which is supported by relevant BTECs, Princes Trust Personal Development qualification and AQA unit awards.

Our current KS4 cohort also benefit from opportunities to gain accreditation in Motor Mechanics, Music and work experience in the local community.

KS3

KS3 students attend our BLTC provision and their placement is five days a week for a term. This allows an effective step-out from the secondary provision to wrap around targeted support and intervention. Students in KS3 study English, Maths, PE, Art, and SEMH. They also benefit from external provision tailored to need in things such as BMXing.

Students at The Cabins are supported for their upcoming SATS with literacy and numeracy and also given wider curriculum opportunities to meet need and support SEMH targets; subjects such as cooking, art, fishing, climbing, outdoor education.

FECA (KS1 and  Lower KS2)

KS1/2 students are likely to attend for two or three days a week, and this placement will continue over approximately two terms. Our FECA provision has two pathways which cater for children with differing needs; this allows us to tailor our provision more effectively. Students at FECA are supported with their reading through Read, Write, Inc and are offered a core curriculum diet of literacy, numeracy and SEMH.
